Leftover Meatloaf with Rice and Broccoli for a winter bento

On a cold December morning when everything “fresh” comes from the grocery store, I try to make the best of subsistence living.

Dates, apples and almonds are seasonal, but the rest of it comes from the deep freeze or the deep south, as in Mexico and Chili.

Since the fruit is not sweet enough to sweeten my yogurt, I like to sprinkle winter yogurt with Traderjoe’s chocolate covered sunflower seeds. One melon can last about 10 days if I am careful. The tomato and black berries are just for the color, not the taste. (they are better then mistletoe for pucker power!)
